I went to the fashion-festival in Frankfurt, called Stilblüten Festival. Many things were there, yet I will not show all of them. Some of them were great, many I personally didn’t like and for the rest – well, they were rude and impolite.
Yet, Miss Tula Trash was really fantastic! I adore her little, fluffy monsters, which are about to talk. She is making these tiny things herself, they are all so different that you can stay there for whole lot of while and just watch. Anyway, here you can see what I mean! She is also making a speech balloons for these monsters, so when you pin them on your shirt or whatsoever, they simply talk.

She, Miss Tula Trash, is indeed very colourful. She knew I was coming! :-)

The marmalade I used was made by my grandmother personally only for me (rose hip). You can also use another marmalade if you like. Here’s the recipe:
1 egg
250gr flour
150gr butter (slightly melted)
60gr sugar.
You mix them all together, butter slightly melted because it is easier to mix it with flour. Knead it properly and let it stay in fridge for an hour. Take it out and knead it once again. Roll it out, make forms out of it and bake it in oven heated on 180° for 8-10 minutes. They won’t change the colour, so really take care otherwise they’ll be very hard and burnt. Put a bit of powder sugar over it and serve them cold.

It is a traumatic day for me.

1. Make yourself a tea; the one you like drinking the most, turn off all big lights and if possible, turn on classical music. If you are really into X-Mas than Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker” will do its job perfectly.

2. Make sure you cleaned all your debts! Call your friends, ask them if you aren’t sure anymore. It is always a bad sign when you start a new year in debts. They will thank you and you can sleep again peacefully.

3. Forget the modern technology – no PC, no iPhone or whatsoever, no phones, no TV! Damn, they all wash your brain 364 days a year – one day at least shall belong to you and your own silence.

4. Use some room fragrances in X-Mas style – cinnamon, orange, both? Depends on what you personally like. Or maybe it’s lavender, in any way you chose. These smells relax unbelievably and make you forget all your problems and headaches for a night.

5. If you do not have a fireplace, few big candles will make it, too. But beware: take care where you gonna put them. It is not rare that many houses burn on Christmas for bad place of fire at home! This light doesn’t force you to work anything.

6. If you want to read a book, though, then you will need more light (take care of your eyes)! You can turn your best lamp on and sit next to it, with blanket over your knees and a good drink.

7. Hot mulled wine is not allowed to be missed! You must have it! Must, must, must! And cookies. At least one glass of spiced wine, and you’ll be sleeping better than angels!

8. If you’d like to spend an Eve with joy & fun you can also dig out Hanna & Barbera’s “Tom & Jerry” cartoons, they also had special Christmas – Edition. And were hot, funny and will make your day!

9. If you’re with your family do your best: prove yourself and sing a long! Be the one who’s having the most fun and who is so loud that other people sound like background singers. All traditions shall be digged out and shall be spent in joy and glory.

10. Write postcards, wishing all you love lots of lovely days in their lives, health and happiness, love as well and that you hope to see them soon. Hope or fine wishes make people believe and wait without being mad if you cannot manage it always to see them. But just show that you care. Sometimes a small, lovely written card can make miracles.

11. After the Christmas Eve you can also have a day off – just for yourself. If you have kids go then outside and play with them. Even if you do not feel so they love you – they go sometimes on your nerves but they love you and love spending days with you only. This feeling doesn’t depend of their age: me, an old cow of 25 adore to spend an evening with my father. Today I can drink beer with him, play chess or just make some fun outside in the snow and now: imagine how grateful your little ones will be if you give them a day of your whole attention. Make photos, keep that in well memory and let a slide show of the funniest pictures on the day of their 16th birthday when the house’s full of teenagers.

12. Decorate the house, our flat or whatever you prefer to call your place you live in. I, personally, have a castle on the attic floor. Beautiful view and surrounded by other homes protecting my holy place. Colorful, very colorful on Christmas and New Year especially, colorful place. But the most important thing of all is a HUGE Christmas tree! The biggest one, so big it cannot fit into your space! And make it shine. You won’t need light in the evening.

13. If you wish you can also combine few points, it is not forbidden. You can also copy them and make an order which one you want to do first and which last. Or just let it be, make your own plans for the holiday. But in any case do not forget to go out and enjoy wonderful snow, perfect time, cold on your face. This will make you, really, sleep like a baby. Or maybe a glass or more of spiced, warm wine.

14. Get your children or if you still don’t have any, your boyfriend, husband, or even (best) friends and make Christmas decoration! Sit all together, sing along, have fun and be happy. Nowadays people run from one point to another, at least one day you should be without worries and simply happy.

15. Make sure your decorated Christmas tree gives you enough light to relax.
